"A Rose By Any Other Name Would Smell as Sweet"
It's not that I don't realize that the title of a blogpost is super important - if you want your story read, that is. As a matter of fact, not only do I know this but I've researched and written about it before: How To Write Titles Like a Pro.
And then, because that appears to be a talent I don't naturally possess, I forget what I've learned and I choose something plain, boring or, perhaps, unrelatable. So, it's happened again and, of course, it's readily visible in my number of clicks.
A couple of days ago, I wrote a post entitled, "Decluttering Your Space." Some time later, a grand total of 67 people had read it. So, I changed the name.
I changed it to How To Empty Your Home Before A Move and, shortly thereafter, 160 people had stumbled upon it. Nothing to brag about just yet, but, maybe, a small step in the right direction. After all, that is the reason we write. We want others to see it, relate, comment, offer advice, and learn from our experiences.
