A hundred years ago, Grand Central Terminal opened on February 2nd, 1913.
It is one of the world's largest with 45 platforms and 63 tracks and hundreds of thousands of people use it daily to commute.
A giant exhibit of how the terminal was used in the past will be on display until March 15th in addition to free, 15 minute tours. Various other art, dance and musical programs will go on throughout the year.
Grand Central Terminal was almost razed in the 1970's but with the help of certain notables, like Jackie O, it was saved and restored instead.
The architecture of this building is what continues to speak to the public.
It is home to the famous Grand Central Oyster Bar & Restaurant.
