NURTUREart Benefit 2013 - Nonprofit - Brooklyn, NY
Education Program Exhibition
According to its website, Nurtureart is a non-profit dedicated to giving new artists exhibition opportunities and resources. George Robinson, founder, realized his vision to help emerging artists of the next generation with the company's unique arts programs that connect practicing professional artists and curators with teachers and students.
Its Education Outreach Program provides life skills to underserved Brooklyn youth, while its special events bring a diverse public together to form a vibrant art community.
A select group of students from I.S. 136, Charles O. Dewey Middle School, (my husband is Principal) exhibited their art work at the Bernarducci Meisel Gallery, 37 W. 57th St., NY, on October 28, 2013.
It was a proud evening for all the students, their parents, teachers and administrators. During the course of the evening, all the exhibited art work was sold and a lovely reception was held.
