Nassau Coliseum, Long Island
April 5th, 2017 marked the grand re-opening of this music venue after almost 2 years of renovation.
Nassau Coliseum had previously been around about 40 years and was sorely in need of help requiring additional bathrooms, technology, etc.
Improvements came at tremendous expense but, happily, not to taxpayers.
Billy Joel, who closed down the place 2 years ago was the first one on the line-up. Unfortunately, I wasn't in the audience for that much touted concert.
Stevie Nicks (Fleetwood Mac) and The Pretenders were on the schedule for the 2nd night and gave wonderful performances despite...
Pretender lead singer, Chrissie Hynde, repeatedly ranting and raving about cell phone lights in her face.
and Stevie Nicks running out of time to do such classics as Sara and Dreams due to long-winded personal stories - her journey.
Interesting stuff as she spoke of collaborations with Prince and Tom Petty but, perhaps unnecessary, since Nassau Coliseum apparently gave her a curfew. The concert ran late.
My full-screen YouTube video of Edge of Seventeen lets you in on the action.
