Now Just A Part of the View
Every day, I take the same route home. For more than 5 years, there's been a house for sale on one particular street. The other day, it occurred to me that I don't even notice it anymore as I drive past. The For Sale sign on the front lawn has been there so long, it's just become part of the view.
I've often wondered why the house never sold. I've been inside on more than one occasion and it's a nice looking house, with a flow that makes sense and features that are in demand for today's multi-generational living. Initially, the asking price was too high but, after quite a few price drops. it seems just right.
I know it can be hard to recover if you start out asking too much. You'll always be chasing the market. In this case, I really do believe the property for sale has just been there so long, the listing has become stale. Passersby see it but don't give it serious consideration. I suppose they feel if it was worth having, someone would have purchased it already.
At the very least, this listed property needs to be given a break and brought back at a later date refreshed.
Right now, it's just a part of the view.
